Obituary
Winona Mae Strange, age 86, of Comanche, peacefully passed away on Tuesday evening, January 28, 2020 in Duncan, OK. Winona was born on September 12, 1933 in Liberal, Kansas to Omas and Clara (Nass) Stickert. She graduated from Liberal High School. In June of 1952 she and TJ Strange were united in marriage in Clayton, New Mexico.
She retired from Southwest Title and Abstract Company in 1985. In the early 1990s they moved to Duncan, and later then to Comanche. Winona was known as a great cook. She used to enjoy riding both horses, and motorcycles. She loved working in her garden. She had a great love for her pets, including dogs and cats. Winona was an active member of the Comanche Garden Club and also the Red Hat Society.
Survivors include her husband TJ, of the home; one daughter, Debbie Grabbe, Hays, Kansas; two grandsons: Matthew Grabbe and wife Jennifer, Hays, Kansas; John Grabbe and wife Julie, Hays, Kansas; four grandchildren: Jackson Grabbe, Ren Grabbe, Wyatt Grabbe, and Mark Grabbe. Also, a brother-in-law, Bill Strange and wife Claudia, Canton, Ohio.
Winona was preceded in death by her parents, and her son-in-law Michael Grabbe.
Private family burial will be in the Grabbe Family Cemetery.
