William Edward Ocamb, age 79, of Ellis, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Society, Ellis. He was born May 19, 1933 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Leonard and Margaret "Irene" (Ccristensen) Ocamb.
He graduated from Ellis High School in 1951 and a veteran of the US Navy serving in Korea. He worked as a printer for Hydro Products in California. He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include three sons, Cody Ocamb of Ellis, Farin Ocamb of Hawaii and Mike Ocamb of Missouri; three daughters, Makala Ocamb of Ellis, Amber Ocamb of Phoenix and Becky Storm; a brother, Lanny Ocamb of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Linda Crouthamel of Salt Lake City and Marsha Johnson of Ogden, UT. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Cindy Basset, infant son, Norman Lee Ocamba brother, Gerald Ocamb and two sisters, Marge Bell and Gaye Nicholson.
Memorial services will be 2 PM Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Keithley Funeral Chapel-400 E. 17th street-Ellis, KS 67637. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.
