A devout Catholic, Wanda found solace and strength in her faith throughout her life. She was a cherished member of St. Joseph's Parish in Hays, where her commitment to her beliefs shone brightly. Wanda's dedication to the field of education was evident through her tireless service as a special education teacher for over 25 years, all within USD 489. Survivors include her children: Dan, Charles, Stacie, Christine, Stephanie, and Laurie; her siblings: Gerald, Larry, Harold, and Evelyn, together with nine grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Wayne Francis Miller; son: Brian ‘Butch’; daughter: Mary; brothers: Marvin, Donald, Delbert, Steve, and Lyle; and a grandson: Jeremy Wasko.


A funeral service to celebrate Wanda's life will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 10:00 AM with memorial visitation from 9:00 AM until service time at St Joseph’s Catholic Church – Hays. Inurnment will follow the services in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Developmental Services of Northwest Kansas, in care of the Funeral Home, reflecting Wanda's lifelong commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others.
