Walter A. Staab

Walter A. Staab, age 85, of Hays, passed away Monday, August 15th at the Good Samaritan Society Hays. He was born on August 19, 1925 in Catharine, Kansas to Alois and Rose (Meiers) Staab. He married Helen Fross on June 17, 1946 in Hays at St. Joseph Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on August 16, 2004.He had worked for Hays Oil and Janzen Oil Company. He was also an antique dealer and co-owner of Little's Antiques. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hays.He is survived by two daughters, Kathy Little and husband Steve of Hays and Cindy Staab of Goodland, a brother, Matt Staab of Hays; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by a son, James Staab; three brothers, Alfred, Edwin, Lawrence and two sisters, Tina Goetz and Irene Rohr.
