Virginia Clermont

Virginia Clermont, age 80, of Hays, Kansas passed away Monday, November 11, 2024 in Hays. She was born July 15, 1944 in Atwood, Kansas to Hugo and Ruby (Rummel) Baumfalk. 

Virginia had worked as a CNA and was especially fond of working in the Alzheimer’s unit. She enjoyed playing solitaire and collecting Indian artifacts, trinkets and artwork. Virginia cared deeply for her pet dogs, her family and especially her grandchildren. She was a loving person with a warm heart and outgoing personality.

Virginia is survived by her daughters, Deb Witt (Clinton) of Lexington, Nebraska, Cherie Schmidt (Brian) and Jody Hagan (Dennie) all of Hays. She also has 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren that survive her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Justin Clermont; 2 grandsons, Mitch Redfield and Dereck Hagan; and her sisters, Janice Trober, Vonda Corder and Delores Pettis.

Private family services have been held.
