Obituary



Stella Marie Vonfeldt, age 90, of Aurora, Colorado passed away September 19, 2019 in Aurora. She was born January 1, 1929 in Antonino, Kansas to Joseph J. and Anna (Speier) Dechant. On May 20, 1947 she married Andrew Vonfeldt in Hays, Kansas. He preceded her in death on February 10, 1989.

Stella was a Homemaker and had worked in retail sales. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella Circle 254.

She is survived by her Siblings: Mabel Reidel, Walker, KS and Walter Dechant, Hays KS. Children: Sherry Estrello, Aurora, CO, Neal VonFeldt, Westminster, CO and Greg VonFeldt, Sullivan, IN Grandchildren: Jodi Robinson, Ft. Worth, TX, Amy Howie, Missoula, MT., Aaron Estrello, USAF, Tokyo, Japan, Jennifer Parmeter, Longmont, CO, Sarah Taylor, Thornton, CO, Jason Vonfeldt, Westminster, CO, Kimberly Vonfeldt, and Andrea VonFeldt, both of Indianapolis, IN. 12 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Bill Dechant, Alice Legleiter, Josie Legleiter, Marcella Zimmerman, Gene Dechant, Adeline Zimmerman, Eleanor King and Rich Dechant.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Hays. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be on Tuesday 6 PM - 8 PM with a Daughters of Isabella rosary at 6:30 PM followed by a parish vigil all at Brock's-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory 2509 Vine, Hays, KS 67601.
