Shirley Ann Walker

Shirley Ann Walker, age 65 of Hays, Passed away on Friday, October 16, 2009 at Hays Medical Center. She was born on October 27, 1943 in Stockton, Kansas to Newton and Edna (Hockman) Wildrix. She married Harold L. Walker on July 8, 1960 in Phillipsburg, Kansas. He preceded her in death on August 18, 2005.She had worked at DSNWK for over thirty years as a working supervisor and a job coach prior to her retirement.Shirley is survived by a son, David Walker and wife Brandi of Natoma, Kansas; three daughters, Cherri Younger and husband Dennis of Hays, Cindy Tidball of Dighton, Kansas and Tina Schmidt of Rush Center, Kansas, ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a grandson, Jesse Dreher and a sister, Daisy Mann.Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, October 16th at Brock's North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine, Hays. Private family inurnment at a later date in the Woodston Cemetery.The family suggests memorials to DSNWK or the Dreiling Schmidt Cancer Center at Hays Medical Center.
