Sharon Kay Alvis, age 71, of Hays, Passed away Sunday, April 17th at her home. She was born March 14, 1940 in Aurora, Nebraska to George and Lois (Mock) Wilson. She attended schools in Aurora. Sharon had received her CNA and CMA certificates and had worked at the Grand Island Veteran's Home. She was also a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, collecting dolls and elephant figurines. She is survived by two sons, Carl George Alvis and Kenneth James Alvis both of Aurora, NE; two daughters, Christine Hockmon and Angie Alvis both of Hays; five brothers, Gerald and Ronald Wilson of Aurora, NE., Robert Wilson of Omaha, NE., John Wilson of Central City, NE., James Wilson of Lincoln, NE. and a half brother George Wilson of Popillion, NE; five sisters, Luella Wieczorek and Charlotte Monson of Grand Island, NE., Linda Modrell of McCook, NE., Connie May of Hastings, NE. and Shirley Wieczorek of Aurora, NE. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Lola Hayman, three half sisters, Faye McIntosh, Dorothy Legge and Elva Masten and two grandchildren, Carl and Kevin Alvis.
