Obituary
Scott A. Jordan age 55, of Hays, Kansas died on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas.
He was born September 5, 1966, in Clearfield, Utah to Randall Wayne and Sue Ellen (Clifton) Jordan Sr. He married Lynette Rumpel and they later divorced. His companion and fianc is Becky Meserve.
Scott was the manager of the Pheasant Run Restaurant in Hays for the past number of years, and prior to this he was a service technician at Tri Central Office Supply in Hays for over 20 years. He lived in Utah, Washington, Illinois, Arizona, and moved to Hays in 1978. He was a 1984 graduate of Hays High School. Scott enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, loved Kansas State University and loved the time he spent with his family, and his extended family including Ryan Werth.
Each year he looked forward to playing Santa Claus and seeing the smiles on the childrens faces. He loved cooking, never met a stranger, and gave the best hugs.
If Scott wasnt "Hanging in there like a hair in a biscuit" then he was probably, "Finer than a frog hair split four ways." Most important, as Scott would say, "It could be worse, we could all be naked doing this."
Survivors include his fiance, Becky Meserve, of the home; his children, Chantee Jordan and Grant Holland, San Marcos, TX; Carey Jordan, Schoenchen, KS; his grandchildren, Sammie Rude, Hays, KS; Jordan Holland, San Marcos, TX; his mother, Sue Jordan, Hays, KS; his brother, Randy Jordan Jr. and wife, Myrna, Hays, KS; and a number of nephews and nieces.
Scott was preceded in death by his father; Randy Jordan Sr.; his grandparents, Larry and Rose Jordan; John and Jean Clifton.
A Celebration of Life service will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 13, 2022, at Clines-Keithley Mortuary of Hays, 1919 East 22nd Street, Hays, Kansas 67601 with Rev. Troy Miller officiating. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, June 12, 2022, and from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Monday, at Clines-Keithley Mortuary of Hays.
The family suggests memorials made payable to; Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks c/o Fish Docking / Scott Jordan Memorial in care of the mortuary.
