Ruthona Wasinger

Ruthona K. Wasinger, age 65, of Hays passed away Friday, September 12, 2014 at Hays Medical center. She was born January 30, 1949 in Lincoln, Kansas to Philip and Leadvrye Houston. She graduated from Lincoln High School and Fort Hays State University with a Bachelor's degree in psychology. She married David Wasinger June 8, 2001 in Hays, Kansas.



She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Hays.



She is survived by her husband, David of the home; a son, Philip Whitaker of Larned, Kansas; a brother, Bill Houston of Lincoln, Kansas and a sister, Marilyn Moore of Smithville, Missouri.



She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Jim Houston and a sister, Phyllis Lonnenberger



Private family graveside services were held Saturday, September 13, 2014 at the Lincoln City Cemetery in Lincoln, Kansas. There will be a memorial service held at a later date at the First Baptist Church in Hays.
