Obituary
Rosemary "Rose" Schumacher, 86, of Wichita, KS, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at her sons home in Hays. Rose was born on July 14, 1931 to Joseph and Anna (Haffner) Staab in Topeka, KS.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Schumacher; son, Robert; daughter, Linda; and three grandchildren, Nathan, Ryan and Keagan.
Rose is survived by three sons, Timothy (Ruth) of Hays, Alan (Kathy) and Craig (Jackie) of Wichita, KS; daughter, Sashya (Mikki) of Pomona, CA; 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, and her "girls" Skye and Sadie.
Also preceding her in death were her brothers, Rich and Joe Staab and her sisters, Lil Fitzpatrick, Aggie Sacco and Lu Isbell
A Mass of Celebration will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church, 2901 E. 13th St., Hays, KS 67601 with Fr. Earl Befort officiating.
Visitation will be held from 9-9:30 AM with a Rosary at 9:30 AM, Saturday, all at the church. Burial will follow in St. Josephs Cemetery in Hays.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to be sent to The Lords Diner, 520 N. Broadway St., Wichita, KS 67214. They were the beneficiary of many of the 1200 blankets she made for the homeless.
