Rose Mary "Rosie" (Comeau) Karlin, age 91, of Hays, died Monday, November 9, 2020 at her home in Hays. She was born February 11, 1929, in Hays, KS to Alphonse and Ida (Cardinal) Comeau.

Rose Mary married Arthur Charles Karlin in St. Josephs church on September 7, 1948. They were blessed with three children: Susan, Robert, and Thomas.

Her hobbies included gardening, playing bridge, as well as traveling with her family. She was an outgoing and friendly person who enjoyed visiting with friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Rose Mary worked as an operator for Southwestern Bell and was an active member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. After retirement, she became a Mary Kay consultant, a perfect blend of business and pleasure. She was a long-time member of St. Josephs Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur of Hays, KS; Daughter: Susan Pfannenstiel of Apple Valley, MN; Sons: Robert J. Karlin (Jane) of Sugarland, TX; and Thomas E. Karlin (Lindy) of Lincoln, NE, eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, eight brothers and five sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, November 13, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St Joseph's Catholic Church, 215 West 13th Street, Hays, KS 67601, burial following the services in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, November 13, 2020 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the church with a rosary service at 10:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St Thomas More Society and/or Hospice at HaysMed in care of the Funeral Home.

The family respectfully requests that all attendees wear masks. Regretfully, due to Covid 19, there will not be a luncheon gathering following the service.
