Rosalie "Rosie" Schuster

Rosalie Marie "Rosie" Schuster, age 68, of Ellis, passed away Friday, May 24, 2013 at Hays Medical Center. She was born June 2, 1944 in Hays, Kansas to Leo and Bertha (Polifka) Schutz. She graduated from Marian High School in 1962. She married Virgil Schuster on April 4, 1964 at St. Josephs Church in Hays.



She was a co-owner of Schusters Service with her husband, Virgil in Ellis for 42 years. She was also a co-owner of Skelly Restaurant and currently was working at the Ellis Railroad Museum. She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church and the Ellis Daughters of Isabella.

Survivors include her husband, Virgil of Ellis; two daughters, Deena Wente and Patty Rowh and husband Jon all of Norton and four grandchildren, Anthony Wente, Derek Rowh, Jarrett Wente and Zachary Rowh.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at St Marys Catholic Church in Ellis. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday 6 PM - 8 PM at St. Marys Church and Tuesday 9 AM 9:30 A.M. at Keithley Funeral Chapel 400 E. 17th, Ellis, KS. 67637.

A Daughters of Isabella rosary will be Monday at 6:30 PM followed by a parish vigil service at 7 PM all at the church.

Memorials are suggested to the Rosie Schuster Memorial Fund to be designated at a later date
