Roma Sue Bizzell

Roma Sue Bizzell, age 64, of Hays, passed away Sunday, July 24th at her home in Hays. She was born on October 5, 1946 in Lyons, KS. to Floyd W. and Erma (Hedges) Roberson. She graduated from Garden City High School and attended Emporia State University. She married O.Z. Bizzell on October 4, 1997 in Hays. Roma worked as a privacy officer for Rush County Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hays and she enjoyed reading and cooking.She is survived by her husband, O.Z. Bizzell of Hays, a son, Matthew Marine and wife Beth of Kansas City, KS, a daughter, Susannah Marine of Topeka, a step-son, John Bizzell and wife Stacey of Shawnee, OK., two sisters, Janie Nusser of New York and Lisa Gleason of Garden City, KS., three grandchildren, Tyler and Tucker Marine of Kansas City, KS. and Lucas Spurgin of Topeka, a step grandson, Austin Marcus Bizzell of Shawnee, OK. and a step great grandson, Bryston Marcus Bizzell of Shawnee, OK. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Roberson of Wichita and Donna Kiker of Maud, OK. and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Duane Marine in 1990, a son, Kerry Marine and a brother, Weldon Roberson.Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Brock's North Hill Chapel 2509 Vine Hays, KS. 67601. Inurnment will follow services in Mt. Allen Cemetery.Memorials are suggested Hospice of Hays Medical Center or the Cancer Council of Ellis County and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
