Robert David Harrell, Sr.

Robert David Harrell, Sr., age 67 of Russell, Kansas died Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Salina Regional Hospital – Salina.

He was born on December 23, 1957, in Denver, Colorado to Lloyd B. Harrell and Gwen Denning. In 1977 he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and attended boot camp at Fort Pendleton.

Robert spent most of his life working in the construction field doing siding, windows, and doors and was able to spend 10 years working side by side with his son Jared on many job sites. He loved fishing and spending time with his family at the lake and was able to accompany his son Jared on a few deer hunts.

He is survived by his sons and daughter: Jared Harrell of Russell, KS, Jason Talbott of Colorado, and Jennifer Harrell of Hays, KS. Grandchildren: Krystine, Amber, and Gabby of Russell, KS, and Connor, Cayden, and Bailey of Hays, KS, and Madison of Kansas City. Also surviving is his sister: Vicky Richards of Holdrege, Nebraska, together with many nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded by his wife, Karen Harrell, his parents, his sister: Roxy, and his son: Robert, Jr., (Bobby).

Cremation services by Keithley Funeral Homes and Crematory – Brock’s Chapel, 2509 Vine Street Hays, Kansas 67601.
