Robert F. Werth

Robert Francis Werth, age 78, of Schoenchen, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Hays Medical Center. He was born April 8, 1935 in Schoenchen, KS to Frank Francis Werth and Lidwina Tauscher. He was a graduate of St. Joseph Military Academy. He married Helga Margaret (Benker) on January 9, 1959 in Bamburg, Germany.



He was an Aircraft Machinist for Boeing in Wichita. He was a US Army veteran, a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Schoenchen and a past Knights of Columbus member.



He is survived by his wife Helga of Schoenchen; four sons, Stan Werth and partner Monette of Wewahitchka, FL, Glenn Werth and wife Michelle of Palmdale, CA, Kirk Werth and wife Heather of Victoria and Steve Werth and wife Laurie of Schoenchen; two daughters, Lisa "Chach" Beilman and husband Ken of Hays and Silvia Gottschalk and husband Dennis of LaCrosse; four brothers, Ernie Werth of Schoenchen, Irvin Lee Werth of Hays, Richard Werth of Hays and Steve Werth of Lancaster, CA; five sisters, Laurine Werth of Hays, Lillian Graf of Chandler, AZ, Mary Ann Rindt of Wichita, Genavive Mendenhall of Lancaster, CA and Cheryl Kay Thomas of Hays. 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren also survive him.



He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Robert F. Werth Jr. and two brothers, Fred Werth and Francis Werth Jr, preceded him in death.



Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Schoenchen. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.



Visitation will be Thursday 5 PM - 7 PM at Brock's Funeral Chapel 2509 Vine Hays, KS 67601.



Memorials are suggested to be used according to the wishes of the family to be designated at a later date.
