Richard Joseph Webb III – age 73, of Walker, Kansas passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at his home. He was born December 22, 1949, in Hutchinson, Kansas to Richard Joseph and Mary Helen (Urban) Webb Jr. His life partner was Louise Virginia Sheets. They were together for over 20 years until her passing on May 14, 2014.
He was a retired construction foreman, and a veteran of the U S Navy. He served during the Vietnam War, he received two Purple Hearts and other service medals. Richard grew up in South Hutchinson and attended high school in Nickerson, Kansas. He has lived in Walker since 1995, he was a member of Victoria V.F.W. Post #1751, Military Honor Guard Funeral Detail, and attended St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Walker.
Richard is survived by his mother, Mary Helen Webb, South Hutchinson, KS; his siblings, Catherine Hixon, Hutchinson, KS; Patricia Best and husband, Harlon, Hutchinson, KS; Barbara Webb, Hutchinson, KS; Frances Ronnau and husband, Robert, Mesa, AZ; Christine Webb-Mikesell, Mesa, AZ; Rita Carpenter and husband, Kris, Colwich, KS; Mary Walker and David Cunningham, Overland Park, KS; David Webb, South Hutchinson, KS; Daniel Webb, South Hutchinson, KS; and a number of nieces and nephews
Richard was preceded in death by his father, Richard Joseph Webb Jr. and his life partner, Louise Virginia Sheets; his sisters, Ruth Martinie and Vivian Sorenson.
Graveside Services and inurnment will be at 11: A.M. Monday, September 25, 2023, at the Winterset Cemetery South of Gorham, Kansas and Military Honors by the Victoria V.F.W. Post# 1751, with Father James Moster officiating.
