Richard A. Moore Sr.

Richard A. Moore Sr. age 97, of Hays, died Monday, May 20, 2013 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, KS. He was born August 16, 1915 in rural Antonino, Kansas to Richard A. and Clara M. (Smith) Moore. He was a graduate of Hays High School. He married Regina M. "Peggy" Moore on ??????, in ????????. She preceded him in death on December 22, 2002.

He was a route salesman for 44 years working for Kesslers Cleaning and Laundry Service which became Suburban Cleaners and Laundry Service. He was amember of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Hays.

Survivors include his two sons; Richard Moore Jr. and wife Jerri of Garden City, KS. And Eldon J. Moore of Scottsdale, AZ; a daughter, Marla J. Moore of Gilbert, AZ; seven grandchildren, Sue Larsen of Holcomb, Shelly Valley of Garden City, Sheri Burling of Laffayette, LA., Shannon Moore of Liberal, Stacie Moore of San Francisco, Megan Stewart of Phoenix and Tory Friesen of Little River, KS. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard Moore and two sisters, Wilma Groff and Hilda Eaton.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, Ma4 24th at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Hays. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday 5 PM 8 PM and Friday 9 AM 9:30 AM all at Brocks North Hill Chapel 2509 Vine Hays, KS. 67601.

A parish vigil service will be Thursday at 6:30 PM at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Building Fund or Via Cristi Village, Hays.
