Regina Schuster

Regina Schuster, age 96, of Ellis passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at her home. She was born October 30, 1918 in rural Trego County, KS to Ignatz and Elizabeth (Weber) Flax. She married Jacob "Jake" Schuster June 3, 1947 in Ellis. He preceded her in death on November 30, 2001.

Regina was a homemaker and farmwife. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, and farm work especially checking on the cattle. She was a member of St. Marys Church in Ellis.

She is survived by two sons, Alvin Schuster and wife Joleen of WaKeeney and Eugene F. Schuster of Ellis; two daughters, Mildred "Millie" Schuster of Hays and Lois Aschenbrenner and husband LeRoy of Ogallah; a sister, Bertha Riedel of Ellis; nine grandsons, Donnie (Christine) Aschenbrenner of Colwich, Ron (Shawna) Aschenbrenner of WaKeeney, John Aschenbrenner of Hays, Gary (Tara) Aschenbrenner of Ellis, Mark (Peggy) Aschenbrenner of Salina, Andy (Amelia) Aschenbrenner of St. Louis, Darren (Amanda) Schuster of Wichita, Michael (Amanda) Schuster of Holton and Kevin Schuster of Lees Summit as well as 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother and five sisters, Rosie Berens, Katie Dinkel, Ida Mae Windholz, Mary Schuster and Anna Geist.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, August 29 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ellis with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday 6 PM - 8 PM with a combined rosary and vigil service at 7 PM all at Keithley Funeral Chapel 400 E 17th Ellis, KS 67637
