Rebecca Lynn Wellman

Rebecca Wellman, age 61, of Stockton, KS died Friday, July 7, 2023 at the Rooks County Health Center - Plainville.

Cremation has been selected by the family.  No services are scheduled.

Becky Wellman was a fierce, resilient, family and friends first type of Mississippi Queen.

Mother of Jessica Fischer and her husband Chad Fischer and Kristy Hughes. Wife of Rusty Wellman who she is now reunited with in eternity. Daughter to Paul & Betty Hughes and maternal mother Peggy McGregor. All of her parents were happy to finally reunite with her again. Sister to Paul and Patty Hughes, Brenda Manning, Michael and Jackie Queen, Steven Queen, Gina Best and several more siblings. Aunt to many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly and even helped parent Michelle and Joe Paul Hughes and Michael Kimzey, cousin to several kin in her beloved state of Mississippi. Her favorite role in life though was being Grandma to William Hughes and Hannah Froggatte, Westin Hughes, Wyatt Hughes, Brody and Kaliiape Butler and Great Grandma to Genesis Froggatte and Wren Hughes.

Becky loved her family and friends dearly. She was a free spirited, good hearted, country girl who lived life to the fullest with a warriors spirit. She will be with her family and friends looking over them and protecting them just as she had always done.
