Pauline Lorimor

Pauline M. Lorimor, age 93 of Ellis, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2009 at the Trego County Lemke-Memorial Hospital in WaKeeney. She was born on May 16, 1916 in Smith Center, Kansas to J.T. and Lillian (Septer) Carver. She married Orson Matteson who preceded her in death in 1943. She married Milton "Sam" Lorimor; He preceded her in death in 1985. Pauline was a homemaker. She is survived by two sons, Robert Peterson and wife Shirley of Hays and James Matteson of Prospect, AZ.; eight grandchildren including Daren and Dane Fischer and Dava Gaschler all of Ellis. She is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Carol Fischer, a brother, Bill Carver, a sister, Juanita White and two granddaughters. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Keithley Funeral Chapel, 400 E. 17th, Ellis. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Ellis. Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday and 9:00 A.M. until service time on Thursday. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Ellis VFW or the Ellis County Cancer Council.
