Olga Forsythe

Olga Forsythe, age 75, of Hays passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Hays Medical Center. She was born September 21, 1937 in Havana, Cuba. She married Don Forsythe in 1960 he preceded her in death in June of 1989.

She was a foreign language teacher at TMP-Marian for twenty years and also had taught at Hays High. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

She is survived by a son, John Forsythe of Orlando, FL; two daughters, Susan Rohr (Mike) of Newton, KS., Karyn Schumacher (Jay) of Victoria, KS; two sisters, Elvireta Rodriguez of Miami, FL. and Iliana Rodriguez Villar of VictoriadeLasTunas, Cuba. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Jeremiah Schumacher (Kayci) of Hays, Ryan Rohr (Kristin) of Maryville, TN.and Heather Fair (Eric) of Newton, KS. and 10 great grandchildren, Ben, Ella, Jack and Max Schumacher, Taylor, Bryson, and Alayna Fair, Kail, Nolan and Landon Rohr.

She was preceded in death by her, her parents and Aunt, Elvira Piedra.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 22, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hays. Burial will follow services in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday 6 PM 8 PM and Monday 9 AM 9:30 AM at Brocks North Hill Chapel 2509 Vine Hays, KS. 67601.

A parish vigil service will be Sunday at 7 PM at the funeral home.
