Obituary
Norman J. Jewell of Hill City passed away November 8th, 2019 at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas. Born on Aug 12, 1955 in Springfield, Illinois, he was 64 years young. He entered a lifelong marriage to Clara on April 11th, 1980.
Norman was a veteran and his military career ended with a medical/honorable discharge. After that, he continued to work at any job that he could to support his family. Oftentimes, he worked more than one job at a time. Some of his jobs were: maintenance, health care, and law enforcement.
Norman had a very strong live life mentality. He was a comedian, an entertainer, but most of all, he was a loving husband, father and friend. He loved animals and had a God given talent with them. He also enjoyed music, boxing, MMA, and just socializing. If you did not get to meet Norman, you truly missed out on an amazing soul.
He is survived by his wife, Clara Jewell; 3 sons; A daughter; and 10 grandchildren.
Norman wished to be cremated, so there will not be a graveside service. The family will be having a service for him at 2:00 PM this Saturday, November 23rd, 2019, at the First State Bank basement located at 101 E Cherry Street Hill City, Kansas. All are welcome to attend and remember him with us.
There can never be a way to fill his absence though we shall always remember him.
