Myrna Faye Kincaid, 86, passed away July 29, 2012 at the Solomon Valley Manor, in Stockton, KS. She was born July 3, 1926 in Agra, KS to Roy and Faye (Beedy) Dean.
She graduated from Agra High School in May 1944 and was employed by Boeing Selective Service in Wichita for a year after her graduation. She married Donald Leo Kincaid on February 17, 1951 in Concordia, KS. She was a Stockton resident for over 60 years and a bookkeeper by profession.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and was active in V.F.W Auxiliary, ESA, BPW, and was also an avid bowler. Myrna enjoyed writing poetry and was honored when one of her poems entitled "Loyalty Day", was published in 1995 by Treasured Poems of America. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed knitting, embroidering and doing various needlepoint projects in her spare time.
Myrna is survived by her daughter, Kathy Kincaid, Stockton, KS; her daughter-in-law, Nancy Kincaid, Houston, TX; two sisters, Dorothy Losey and husband Stuart, Longmont, Co, and Anita Pauza and husband Tom, Duluth, MN; six grandchildren; Angela Lombardo and family, Melbourne, FL, Nicole Hodges-Williams and family, K.C., MO, Leonard Kern and family, Hays, KS, Caleb Conway and family, Topeka, KS, Jena Kincaid, Austin, TX, Courtney Kincaid, Austin, TX; 5 great grandchildren and nine nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald, her son, Kent; two sisters, Norma and Wilma, and a brother Doran.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Stockton. Officiating will be Pastor Les Ellis and Pastor Darlene Nonhof. Burial will be in the Stockton Cemetery following the service. The casket bearers will be Leonard Kern, Caleb Conway, Frank Lombardo, Kelly Losey, Tim Pauza, and Rodney Roy.
The family will be present to greet friends at 1:00 P.M. until service time on Thursday at the church. Services in care of Brocks North Hill Chapel 2509 Vine Hays, KS 67601.
