Minnie Keller

Obituary



Minnie Keller, age 101, of Ellis, Kansas passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020 at the Good Samaritan Society in Ellis. She was born June 23, 1919 in Ellis County, Kansas to Frank and Carrie (Wendling) Keller. On November 5, 1942 she married Gerhard Keller. He preceded her in death October 7, 1980.

Minnie had worked at the Plainville hospital until her retirement. After retirement she stayed active working at the Palco Caf. Minnie was very fond of Palco and was known to walk throughout the town and visit with the residents. She enjoyed flower gardening, birds and she especially liked Halloween and dressing up for it. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and St. John Lutheran Church.

She is survived by a son, Gerald Keller of Kansas City, Kansas; grandchildren, Brenda Schumacher and husband Bruce of Lawrence, Kansas, Mark Armbrister and wife Crystal of Ellis and her great grandchildren, Katelyn and Cole Schumacher and Logan and Morgan Armbrister.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn Armbrister; brothers, Oscar and Arthur and sisters, Freda, Irene, Helen and Martha.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Keithley Funeral Chapel 400 E. 17th Ellis, Kansas 67637. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral chapel.

All attending will be expected to wear masks and observe all Covid appropriate precautions. For those who are not comfortable with the regulations or being in a confined setting please use the guest book to express your condolences to the family.
