Mildred Jinks, age 91, of Ellis, passed away Monday, November 5th at the Good Samaritan Society, Ellis. She was born April 11, 1921 in Ellis to George and Mary (Lang) Luea.
She was a LPN working throughout Kansas in nursing. She returned to Ellis for her retirement and continued to serve the elderly in the community. She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church, the Daughters of Isabella and a Senior Companion.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandie Breazier, a son, Don Jinks both of Arizona; grandchildren, Marian, Joelle and Katie of California, Gehna of Arizona and Brian of California, three great-grandchildren, Josh, Destiny and Chance. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Joe, Nick, Paul and John Luea and three sisters, Elizabeth Luea, Mary Kohl and Eleanor Dreiling.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Thursday at St. Marys Catholic Church in Ellis with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday 6 PM 8 PM at Keithley Funeral Chapel 400 E. 17th Ellis, KS 67637
A parish vigil service will be Wednesday at 7 PM followed by a Daughters of Isabella rosary service all at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to Masses or St. Marys Church.
