Mary Jane Kuhn

Mary Jane Kuhn age 93, of Victoria, Kansas passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024, at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas.

She was born January 23, 1931, on the family farm at Pfeifer, Kansas to Adam and Cecellia (Jacobs) Kisner. She married Francis Joseph Kuhn on August 22, 1950, at Pfeifer, Kansas. He preceded her in death on August 5, 2016.

She was a homemaker and a member of The Basilica of Saint Fidelis. She grew up in Pfeifer, attended Pfeifer Grade School, and was a graduate of Schoenchen High School.

She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, word search books, and her yard work. She and her husband lived most of their lives in Topeka and moved back to Victoria in 2003.

Mary Jane is survived by her children, Pam Dougan and husband, Johnnie, Prescott, AR; Peggy Fitzpatrick, Victoria, KS; her grandchildren, Carrie Palsay (Tim); Joseph Dougan; her great grandsons, Zachary Doty; Austin Paslay; her sisters, Melvina Sexton, Topeka, KS; Vera Toyzan, Albuquerque, NM; and her sister-in-law, Virginia Kisner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Cecellia Kisner; her husband, Francis Joseph Kuhn; her son-in-law, John Fitzpatrick; her sisters, Virginia Cochran; Flora DeBacker; Twila Grace; her brothers, Vernon Kisner; Delmer Kisner; her infant brothers, Joseph; Kenneth; Anthony; and Adam. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:00 A.M. Monday, July 22, 2024, at The Basilica of Saint Fidelis, 900 Cathedral Ave., Victoria, Kansas with Celebrant, Father James Moster O.F.M. Cap.

A vigil service and rosary will be at 6:30 P.M. Sunday, at Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary Victoria, Kansas.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, and from 8:00 to 9:00 A.M. Monday, at Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary Victoria, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital in care of Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary, 412 Main Street, Victoria, Kansas 67671.
