Obituary



Mary Anne Kline- 88 of Hays, Kansas died Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at Via Christi Village Care Center Hays, Kansas. She was born August 12, 1932 in Marion, Virginia to Raymond V. and Elizabeth A. (Wolfe) Taylor. She married Gerald R. Kline on April 24, 1952 in LaCrosse, Kansas. He preceded her in death on January 12, 2012.

Mary Anne was employed at Southwestern Bell for 32 yeas as an operator and draft clerk.

She retired in 1989 and was a AT & T Pioneer Life Member. She grew up in Marion, VA and was a 1949 graduate of Marion High School. She moved to Hays in 1973 from LaCrosse, Kansas. Mary Anne enjoyed playing cards, cooking, reading, going to the casinos, and loved the ocean and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her son, Mike Kline, Hays, KS; daughters, Debbie Leiker and husband, Ron, Lyons, KS; Susan Willming and husband, Kent, Hays, KS; four grandchildren, Lachelle Spann and Shawn; Latasha Southern and Bryce; Brett Leiker and Lisa Hagley; Brian and Kalie Leiker; the grandchildren, Nicole Spann, Austin Spann, Kelsi Spann; Brock Southern; Ashley Leiker, Brayden Leiker, Aubrey Leiker, Brody Leiker, Jade Leiker, Lexi Leiker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; her brother, Raymond "Sonny" Taylor Jr.

and her sister, Carolyn Young.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 9, 2021, at Clines-Keithley Mortuary of Hays, 1919 East 22nd Street, Hays, Kansas 67601. With Father Edmond Kline officiating. Burial will be in LaCrosse City Cemetery, LaCrosse, Kansas.

A vigil service will be at 7:00 P.M. Sunday, at Clines-Keithley Mortuary of Hays.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, and from 9:00 to 10:00 A,M. Monday, all at Clines-Keithley Mortuary of Hays.

In Lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Hospice of Hays Medical Center or The Dreiling-Schmidt Cancer Center made payable: to the organization in care of Clines-Keithley Mortuary of Hays.
