Obituary



Mary Ann (Hoffman) Ward, age 84 passed away Saturday, January 4, 2020 in Wichita. She was born January 6, 1935 in Hays KS to John and Agnes Hoffman.

She graduated from Girls Catholic High in Hays and married to Joe E. Ward on November 12, 1954 at St Joseph Church in Hays. She was retired from the Wichita Eagle Newspaper.

She is survived by her daughter Pam Ridler and husband Randy of Castle Rock CO and son Art Ward and wife Agnes of Wichita. She had four grandchildren: Ryan Ridler (wife Kristen) of Franklin TN, Lance Ridler (wife Kristen) of Castle Rock CO, Aaron Ward of Larned and Katie Wilson of Wichita and 11 great grandchildren.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Joe and son, BJ Ward, her parents and three siblings.

Funeral services will be at 10 am Friday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Hays. Burial will be in St. Josephs Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Thursday 5-8 pm with a combined parish vigil service and rosary at 7 pm at Brocks-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 2509 Vine, Hays.
