Mary Ann Karlin

Mary Ann Karlin, age 84, of Ellis passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Trego Lemke Memorial hospital in WaKeeney, KS. She was born May 26, 1929 in Antonino, KS to Carl and Monica (Ruder) Pfannenstiel. She married Peter Karlin October 13, 1952 in Antonino, KS. He preceded her in death July 8, 2002.



She was a homemaker and enjoyed doing embroidery work and wood puzzles. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, VFW Auxiliary and Christian Mothers.



She is survived by three sons, Mark karlin and wife Bernice of Ellis, Mel karlin of Hays and Mikel Karlin and wife Joyce of Hays, four grandchildren, Amy Cassell and husband Chris of Wamego, Luke Karlin of Ellis, Matthew Karlin and wife DaLaena of Kansas City and Michelle Stenvel and husband James of Salina as well as five great grandchildren, Conrad, Austin and Anna Cassell and Ben and Emily Karlin.



She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, four brothers, Marcellus, Paul, Albinus and Francis Pfannenstiel and a sister, Rita Pfannenstiel.



Funeral services will be 10 AM Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellis. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.



Visitation will be today 4PM - 8 PM at Keithley Funeral Chapel 400 E. 17th Ellis, KS 67637.

A D of I rosary followed by a parish vigil service will be today at 7 PM at the funeral chapel.
