Obituary
Marvin Edward Kisner age 88, of Pfeifer, Kansas died Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at Hays Medical Center.
He was born September 9, 1932, in Pfeifer, Kansas to Stephen and Anna Marie (Dome) Kisner Sr.
He was a farmer and raised Charolais cattle, Marvin grew up in Pfeifer attended Pfeifer Grade School and was a graduate of Schoenchen High School. He was a veteran of the US Army and served in the Korean conflict. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hays, a former member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Pfeifer, and a life time member of the Victoria V.F.W. Post No. 1751. Marvin enjoyed his nephews, nieces and family.
Survivors include, one brother, Steve Kisner and wife, Jane, Hays, KS; three sisters, Lucille Huser-Knoll, Hays, KS; Florine Kisner, Pfeifer, KS; Marlene -Lang-Sarver and husband, Larry, Natoma, KS; several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Lloyd Kisner and wife Maxilene; two infant brothers, Floyd Kisner and Marion Kisner.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Pfeifer, Kansas. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions Masks will be required at the visitation and Funeral Services. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pfeifer, Kansas with Military Honor by the Victoria V.F.W. Post No. 1751.
A vigil service will be at 6:00 P.M. Friday, followed by a V.F.W. rosary at 6:30 P.M. Friday, both at Clines-Keithley Mortuary of Hays, 1919 East 22nd Street, Hays, Kansas 67601.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8:30 P.M. Friday, and Clines-Keithley Mortuary of Hays, and from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Saturday, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Pfeifer, Kansas.
In Lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Holy Cross Charities INC. in care of the mortuary.
