Obituary



Mark Lynn Jacobs, age 60, son of Gilbert and Gladys (Goetz) Jacobs was born in Quinter, Kansas on January 16, 1961. Mark entered into God's kingdom on July 4, 2021.

Being born with cerebral palsy and several additional physical impairments, Mark made the most of the hand that was presented to him. People with 'special needs' require a significant amount of time, patience, love, understanding, and acceptance. As time moved on, it became crystal clear that Mark gave far more than he ever needed. Everyone needs unconditional love. Mark provided this to all that knew him and interacted with him. This special quality will be cherished and greatly missed. As society evolves, it is comforting to know that we are making significant inroads for people with special needs. Mark enhanced our lives, and his memories will endure.

He is preceded in death by his parents Gilbert and Gladys Jacobs of Quinter, KS. Surviving are his brothers and their wives: Jim and Sandy Jacobs of Phillipsburg, KS, Doug and Carole Jacobs of Garden City, KS, Mike and Stacia Jacobs of Belvidere, KS, and Matt and Terra Jacobs of Burlington, KY. Also surviving are seven nephews and four nieces. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to DSNWK, P.O. 310, Hays, KS 67601 or offering masses at the church of your choice.
