Luella Lambrecht

Obituary



Luella Lambrecht, age 81, of Ellis, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Hays Medical Center. She was born January 25, 1937 in Hays, Kansas to Jacob and Lydia (Bieker) Begler. On September 2, 1958 she married Earl James Lambrecht in WaKeeney, Kansas. He preceded her in death April 27, 2017.

She was a homemaker and had cooked at Alloways and Skelly restaurants in Ellis. She was a member of St. Marys Church and the Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed gambling trips and traveling with her sisters but most of all she will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by three daughters, Debra Williams and husband Fred Johnson of Big Cabin, Oklahoma, Joan Yunker and husband Dan of Andover, Kansas and Gail Dreiling and husband Dave of Ellis; a daughter-in-law, Kim Lambrecht of Hays; a brother, Jerald (Trudy) Begler of Broomfield, CO; two sisters, Marge Bryant of Minneola, TX and Beverly (Michael) Elliott of Tulsa, OK; nine grandchildren, Natalie (Justin) Silkey, Emily Williams and Trevor Williams, Crystal (Matt) Brungardt-Groen, Candice (Justin) Sullivan, Nicole (Korey) Maxwell, Dani (Kyle) Ricke, Jake Dreiling and Joan Dreiling (Alex Stamm) and 7 great grandchildren, Serenity and Carter Silkey, Kail, Tanis and Brody Brungardt, Noah and Ella Ricke.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Greg Lambrecht and two sisters, Laura Rellins and Lillian Hunter.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 2, 2018 at 10:30 AM with a Daughters of Isabella rosary service at 10 AM all at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ellis. Inurnment will follow in St. Marys Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to St. Marys Church or St. Marys School.
