Kurt W. Kisner, age 39, of Hays, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2013 at hays Medical Center. He was born December 8, 1973 in Hays, Kansas to Isadore "Izzy" and Matilda "Tillie" (Werth) Kisner. He graduated from hays high School.
He was currently working for the Ellis County Sheriffs Department as a detention officer. Prior to the sheriffs office he had worked at St. Johns for ten years as an occupational therapist. He enjoyed the outdoors, Clay Shooting, Football and NASCAR.
He is survived by his fianc, Alane Slaughter of Hays; his mother and step father, Matilda Dannels and husband Richard of Hays; two brothers, Kenneth Kisner and wife Connie of Wichita Falls, TX. and Keith D. Kisner of Atwood, KS., a sister Kelley Ferguson of Topeka, KS., two nieces, Taylor Ferguson and Samantha R. Kisner and five nephews, Brock D. Kisner, Max A. Kisner, Trevor Kisner, Tyler Kisner and Markeith Ferguson.
He was preceded in death by his father and a sister-in-law, Marlis Kisner wife of Keith.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Brocks North Hill Chapel 2509 Vine Hays, KS. 67601. Cremation will follow services and private family inurnment will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery in Hays.
Visitation will be Tuesday 4:00 P.M. 8:00 P.M. and Wednesday 9:00 A.M. 9:45 A.M. all at the funeral home.
