Kenneth Joseph 'Kenny' Bieker, age 83, of Schoenchen, Kansas passed away Monday, June 26, 2017 in Schoenchen. He was born May 12, 1934 in Schoenchen to Alex and Regina (Gottschalk) Bieker. He graduated from Schoenchen High School in 1955. On May 28, 1966 he married Rose Ann Dinges in Schoenchen.
Kenny was a driller with Red Tiger Drilling Company for 30 years and owned Hays Radiator for 20 plus years. He sang with the Dutch Masters Polka Band for many years and he enjoyed gardening. He was a US Army Veteran, a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and a Schoenchen Council 3rd degree Knights of Columbus member.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Ann of Schoenchen; a son, Kevin Bieker and wife Lois of Schoenchen; two daughters, Laurie Werth and husband Steve of Schoenchen and Kenda Moore and husband Rex of Kearney, Nebraska; a sister-in-law, Rita Bieker of Hays; eight grandchildren, Ashley (Adam) Kinderknecht of Hays, Heather Werth of Schoenchen, Adrianna Bieker (fiance Austin Haselhorst) of Hays, Sheldon Werth (fiance Allyson Flax) of Hays, Audrey Bieker Schoenchen, and Kolin Basgall, Jarrett Moore and Camden Moore all of of Kearney, as well as three great grandchildren, Aliyah Kinderknecht of Hays and Jaylin and Jaxtyn Irvin of Schoenchen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Marvin, Vic and Willard Bieker and five sisters, Armella Bianchino, Mabel Pfannenstiel-Gross, Alice Sauer, Nita Lyhane and Lyla Bieker.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Friday, June 30, 2017 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Schoenchen. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery with military honors courtesy of the Hays VFW Honor Guard.
Visitation will be Thursday 4 PM - 8 PM at Brock's-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory 2509 Vine Hays, KS 67601 and on Friday 9 AM until service time at the church.
A Schoenchen council 3rd degree Knights of Columbus rosary will be Thursday at 6:30 PM followed by a parish vigil service at 7 PM all at the funeral chapel.
Memorials are suggested to St. Anthony's Church.
