Kenneth J Giebler, age 83, of Hays, Kansas passed away on June 13, 2022 in Hays. Ken was born in Catharine, Kansas on December 15, 1938 to Robert M. Giebler Marcella (Leiker) Giebler. He was a graduate of Hays High School class of 1956. He enlisted into the U.S. Navy in May of 1956 immediately after graduation and proudly served until Honorably Discharged in December of 1959. On September 10, 1960 he was united in marriage to Nancy R. (Chew) Giebler in St. Joseph Church in Hays, Kansas. To that union, two sons, Mark and Steve, and a daughter Christine, were born.



After his navy service, he was employed by R.C. Williams, Inc. in the truck and equipment maintenance department for 32 years until the company disbanded. Ken retired from Midwest Drug Inc, in December of 2005 as a shipping and receiving clerk.

He is survived by his wife Nancy, of the home, two sons, Mark F. Giebler and wife De of Port St. Lucie, Florida; Steve Giebler and fianc Yancy of Cimarron; Kansas, a daughter, Christine McGuire of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two brothers, Wayne Giebler and wife Carol, Summerfield, Florida; Dennis Giebler, Springfield, Missouri, and five grandchildren.

He was preceded by parents and brother Bob Giebler.



Ken was a proud American Conservative who had utmost respect for the men and women serving in the military, law enforcement, first responders and the servants in the medical field, taking care of the suffering. He loved God, Family, and Country and was a faithful fan of the Kansas State Wildcats. He enjoyed, "Old time country and country gospel music." He took a knee for God and always stood for the American flag, National Anthem, and the Pledge of Allegiance. He believed every conception was Gods creation and should have a chance to live as God intended.

Cremation was chosen. A private graveside service is planned for a later date at the Kansas State Veterans Cemetery in Wakeeney, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to HaysMed Hospice in Kens memory. Donations made payable to the organization may be sent in care of Keithley Funeral Homes PO Box 86 Hays, KS 67601. Also in Kens memory please offer prayers asking God to "Bless our country and keep America free as one nation under God, for our children and future generations.
