Kenneth C. King

Kenneth C King, 76, of Ellis died Monday August 27, 2012 at Hays Medical Center.















He was born January 24, 1936 in Rural Ellis Co to Chris and Anna (Sauer) King. He worked in construction for many years while living in Colorado before returning to Ellis where he operated a welding shop until he retired.



He had served as the mayor of the City of Ellis and also served as the city superintendent. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and playing cards with his buddies.



Survivors include a son Kendall and wife Laura of Fort Worth Texas, a daughter Debra of Ellis and a grandson Nicklas of Fort Worth; sisters Carol Armbrister and Elaine King both of Ellis and a brother Marvin of Ellis.



He was proceeded in death by his parents, five brothers Robert, Raymond, Larry, Leroy and Alfred Dean and a sister Freda Henrickson.



Keithley Funeral Chapel 400 E. 17th Ellis, KS 67637 is arranging private graveside services. Memorials are suggested to The Spruce Villa Activity Fund or Hospice in care of the mortuary.
