Obituary



Keith William Gnad, 61, of Overland Park, Kansas, died Saturday, June 19, 2021, at Advent Health, Shawnee Mission, Merriam, KS. He was born June 9, 1960, in Hays to Clarence and Janet L. (Morin) Gnad.

Keith graduated from Hoisington High School, class of 1978. During that time, Keith developed a passion for photography, becoming a member of the yearbook staff and winning several photography awards. Even prior to graduating he performed brick laying jobs, such as homes and fireplaces without any supervision. Following graduation, he worked as a mason for his uncle, Mike Gnad. Keith lived in Hays, Great Bend and Kansas City before settling in Little Rock, Arkansas where he formed his own successful company, Gnad Tile & Masonry. In his free time, he worked as a photography teacher at the Arkansas Arts Center in Little Rock, focusing primarily on black and white photography.

Keith was preceded in death by his father, and by his sister, Yvonne Burtt. He is survived by his mother, Hays; children, Chantz Gnad, Overland Park; Austen Gnad (Angie Westcott), Kansas City, MO; Samuel and Carver Gnad, Sherwood, AR; siblings Christina Smith (Ron), Hoisington; Steven Gnad, Hays; Leah Beck (Art), Montezuma; and Tracy Gnad (Noemi) Peculiar, MO; nieces and nephews Wendy Carr, Sean (Kira) Burtt, Shannon Burtt, Jessica Beck, Jordan Beck, Julian Gnad, Christopher Gnad, Steven Gnad, and Cindy Garrett.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 14, 2021, at Brocks~Keithley Funeral Chapel, 2509 Vine, Hays, KS.
