Obituary



Kathleen A. Strachan, age 67, of Hays, Kansas passed away Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Hays Medical Center. She was born May 26, 1952 in Hays to Gregory and Mildred (Hoff) Dechant. She graduated from Marian High School.

She had worked for the Good Samaritan Society, Hays and Fort Hays State University. She was an avid cat lover and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays.

She is survived by her mother, Mildred Dechant of Hays; a son, Robert Strachan of Hays; a daughter, Lori Riedel of Plainville;

three grandchildren, Deanna Riedel, Kayla Riedel and Terry Davis as well as two great grandchildren, Kysar and Gabriel Jacobsen.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Brocks-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory 2509 Vine Hays, KS 67601 with Fr. Brian Lager officiating. Inurnment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays.
