Karolyn Coleman

Karolyn Kaye Coleman, 72, of Washington, Missouri, formerly of Ellis, passed away in the loving arms of God, on Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at Cedarcrest Manor Nursing Home, Washington, MO.



She was born on Aug. 16, 1939, in Emmeram, KS, to Delbert and Beulah (Springfield) Witt.



She married Arthur Paul Coleman on July 25, 1955, in Great Bend, KS. She was a homemaker and a health care provider. She was a member of the Ladies VFW Auxiliary and St Mary's Church, of Ellis.



Survivors include her husband, Paul, of Lake St Louis, Mo; her son, Mark and daughter-in-law, Lynn, of Lake St Louis, MO, a daughter-in-law, Renea Coleman, of Gillette, WY; three sisters, Sherry Baker, Rapid City, SD; Kathy Magadan, Great Bend, KS; Jeanne Swindler, Pratt, KS; and one brother, Rocky Witt, Elko, NV; eight grandchildren and five great- grandchildren.



She was preceded in death by two sons, Jim Coleman, Gillette, WY in 1994, and John Coleman, Elko, NV, in 2011.



Funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday, Jan. 14th at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ellis. Burial will follow services at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Ellis.



Visitation will be Friday 5 PM - 8 PM and Saturday 1 PM - 1:30 PM all at Keithley Funeral Chapel - 400 E. 17th - Ellis, KS. 67637.



A parish vigil service will be Friday at 7 PM at the funeral home.





Memorials are suggested to the Ladies VFW Auxiliary in Ellis. Condolences may be sent to the family by guest book at www.keithleyfuneralchapels.com or emailed to keithley@ruraltel.net
