Juliette Schreiner

Juliette Ann Schreiner, age 90, of Hays formerly of Ogallah, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Via Christi Assisted Living in Hays. She was born August 18, 1923 in Damar, Kansas to Euclide and Marie (Benoit) Ferland. She graduated from Damar High School in 1941. On October 20, 1941 she married Richard Schreiner at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Damar. He preceded her in death June 5, 2011.



Juliette was Co-Owner and operator of Schreiner's Inc. of Ogallah, KS. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and Daughters of Isabella both of Ellis. She enjoyed Painting, crocheting and baking for family.



She is survived by three sons, Richard A. Schreiner and wife Lucy of Tacoma, WA, Bernard J. Schreiner and wife Valree of Ogallah, KS and Alvin R. Schreiner and wife Danene of Woodland Park, CO; four daughters, Deanne M. Level and husband Jack of Plano, TX, Terri A. Budzyna of Springfield, MO, Nanette S. Woodall and husband Joel of WaKeeney, KS and Cindy L. Werth and husband Gary of Quinter, KS; three brothers, Levi Ferland of Wichita, KS and Gilbert and Alcid Ferland both of Hays; four sisters, Ruth Rempe of Leota, KS, Jacqueline Steckline of Ogallah, KS, Loretta Zweifel of Luray, KS and Elizabeth Ferland of Russell. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren.



She was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Archil Ferland and a sister, Marcella Ribordy.



Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 16, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ellis. Burial will follow in the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery in WaKeeney.



Visitation will be Sunday 6 PM - 8 PM and Monday 9 AM - 9:30 AM all at St. Mary's Church.



A Daughters of Isabella rosary will be Sunday at 7 PM followed by a parish vigil service all at the church.
