Julie Lynn White, 59 passed away on September 14 in Ellis, KS. She was born in El Dorado, KS on March 9, 1955.
Julie was retired from the state of Missouri. She was an accomplished pianist and studied at Fort Hays State University, Middle Tennessee State University, and Washburn University in Topeka, KS. In highschool, she accompanied the orchestra; at Washburn she served as pianist for string recitals. She served as pianist for 3 different churches in the St. Louis area. She received her bachelor's degree while working in Missouri. Severe chronic illness forced the cessation of her work life and most of her musical activities. She made her home in El Dorado the last seven years of her life to be near her family. Two weeks before she died she entered the Good Samaritan Home in Ellis, KS. The last week of her life she was tended around the clock by her beloved sister, :Tessie."
She is survived by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Thomas S.White; sister Carla "Tess" White and Carla's husband, Tim Perry of McCracken, KS; and brother, Louis A. White.
No formal service will be held and cremation was Julie's choice. She also expressed the wish to have the song "When the Saints go marching in" played at her home gathering, celebrating her joy of entering into eternal life. Arrangements are made with Brock's North Hill Chapel in Hays, KS. Friends may call at the family home in El Dorado and memorials may be made to the The Good Samaritan Society in Ellis, KS.
