John Weber Jr.

John Weber Jr., age 90, of Ellis died at Hays Medical Center on Christmas morning. He was born on April 10, 1922 in Trego County to John and Theresia (Augustine) Weber Sr. He married Marcella Eberle on September 26, 1944 at St. Marys Church in Ellis.

He worked to build Cedar Bluff Lake, worked for many years at Fondoble Motor Sales in Ellis, and was a farmer all his life. He was a member of St. Marys Church in Ellis, and an Ellis 3rd degree K of C member.

He is survived by his children; daughter, Phyllis Rupp of Ellis, son, Les and wife, Gerri, of Ellis, son, Verlin and wife Linda of Lawrence, and daughter, Becky Sook, and husband Richard of Hays; twelve grandchildren, Rick Rupp of Ellis, Brenda Hawk of McPherson, Tammy Crist of Bourbonnais, IlL., Sheri Krause of Ellis, Kevin Weber of Howard, Ks, Amy Reeh of Colby, Ks, Jodi Bendure of Shawnee, Missy Hensley of Overland Park, Troy Weber of Shawnee, Kerri Callaway of Clay Center, Dustin Vine of Ellis, and Misty Lohmeyer of Hays. 23 great grandchildren, three sisters, Helen Pfeifer of Ellis, Katie Eberle of Wakeeney, and Theresia Aschenbrenner of Colby.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcella who passed away on January 11, 2004, His Parents, 4 brothers, Ignatuis, Joe, Mike and Ambrose. 3 sisters Anna Geist, Johana Weber, and Josephine Weber a Great grandson Braden Reeh, and son in law Norman Rupp.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 28 at St. Marys Church in Ellis with Father Richard Daise Officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 PM - 8 PM

A Knights of Columbus rosary service will be Thursday at 7 PM followed by a parish vigil all at the church. Arrangements in care of Keithley Funeral Chapel 400 E. 17th Ellis, KS. 67637.
