Obituary



John Robert Deutscher, age 70, of Ellis, Kansas passed away July 2, 2020 in Ellis. He was born March 31, 1950 in WaKeeney, Kansas to Arthur and Iris (Moore) Deutscher.

John was a farmer and an over the road truck driver. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed playing horseshoes, and pinochle.

He is survived by his children, Beth Anne Petz and Andrew Duran of Ellis, Benjamin Arthur Deutscher and wife Scarlett of Ellis, and Hannah Marie Deutscher and Husband Mitchell Paul Glinka of Ellis; grandchildren, Jay Donald and wife Jordan Petz, Dustin Lee Petz, Dylan James Deutscher, Amanda Nicole Deutscher, Dakota Jefferey Deutscher, Brooklyn Leigh Jenneskens, , Zachery Dale Jenneskens, Channing Michael Lewis and wife Diane Lewis of Hays, Alexcia Lee Deutscher of Overland Park. Five great grandchildren. Sister Jolene and husband Larry Allomon.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Jean Flax and Judy Deutscher And Grandaughter Samantha Rene Jenneskens.

Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at St. John Lutheran Church of Ellis. Inurnment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Ellis.
