Jarrett Rome

Jarrett A. Rome, age 25 of Hays, died Friday, April 24th at the Hays Medical Center after a courageous battle against cancer. He was born on October 27, 1983 in Hays, Kansas to Ronald and Carol (Rohr) Rome.He graduated from Hays High in 2002. Jarrett was a Welder and Fabricator at Steel Fabrications, Inc. in Hays, Kansas.He is survived by his father, Ron Rome, his mother Carol Rome, a brother, Jordan Rome, a sister, Jenna Rome, his grandparents, Julius and Lillian Rohr and a niece, Camdyn Lillian Darrah all of Hays.Jarrett was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pete and Patricia Rome, his great grandparents, Joe and Sophie Gerstner, Arlie and Beaulah Gardner.Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday at St. Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church in Hays. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.Visitation will be Monday 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with a parish vigil service at 7:00 P.M. all at Brock's North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine, Hays.Memorial contributions are suggested to The Hope Lodge or the American Cancer Society.
