Ivan Owens

Ivan Fredrick Owens Sr. age 75 of Springfield, MO passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Hays Medical Center. He was born May 19, 1940 Evansville, IN to Fred and Anna (Shelby) Owens. He married Rebecca Kyger in Springfield, MO on April 16, 1976.

Ivan was a longtime sheet metal worker in the Springfield, MO area owning and operating his own business, Owens Custom Heat and Air. He was a US Navy veteran. He enjoyed his grandchildren and was a true story teller.

He is survived by his wife Rebecca; his mother, Anna Hawkins of West Palm Beach; a son, Ivan F. Owens Jr. of Halifax, Mass.; two brothers, Fred and Bud Owens; three sisters, Talia, Claudette and Ellen; 9 grandchildren including Della Zelaya of Russell and 16 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and an uncle, Blackie.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
