Ivalee (Grunert) David, age 90, of Russell, Kansas passed away January 19, 2020 in Russell. She was born on a farm north of Almena, Kansas on August 2, 1929 to Charles and Viola (Clouse) Grunert. After graduation she was united in marriage to Robert David.

Ivalee was a homemaker and stay at home mom to 3 children. She was employed at the Steak House and was assistant manager at the Ben Franklin store in Norton, Kansas. She worked with her husband at David Electric and Plumbing business and became a representative for the Artex paint company in which she started weekly paint clubs. She owned and operated the Knick, Knack, Knook Craft and Hobby store in Russell for over 40 years.

She was a member of the United Brethren Church outside of Almena until moving to Russell where she attended Otterbein Church since 1950. Ivalee enjoyed many duties with the church, helping with the shoe boxes, childrens hour, and helping in the kitchen serving meals. She was also Den mother for the Cub Scouts, she loved being room mother for several years. And was a member of the Russell Antique Club. Ivalee loved her crafts in which she was uniquely creative. She spent many hours in her garden, sewing, needlepoint, crocheting and spending time with family, friends and pets.

She is survived by her son, Mike David, Russell; two daughters, Brenda Dixon and husband Ron of Fountain, Colorado and Stacey David of Russell; two grandchildren, Shawn Clark and Cara St. Peters as well as four great grandchildren, Sofia and Domonic, GiGi and Frank.

Ivalee was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Robert David in 2006, her parents, brother, sister, niece and nephew.

A private family service and burial will be held at Mount Herman Cemetery in Paradise Kansas on January 24th.
