Gregory E. Saindon

Gregory Edmund Saindon, age 64, of Ellis passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016 in Ellis. He was born October 19, 1951 in Hays, Kansas to Delmar E. and Mary Elizabeth (Graves) Saindon. He married Ann Marie Schoendaller in LaCrosse, Kansas on May 22, 1971. Greg graduated from Palco High School in 1969, Fort Hays State University in 1976 and Washburn Law School in 1978.

He was admitted to the Kansas Bar Association in 1979 and began practicing law in Parsons, Kansas until August of 1980. He then started practicing law in Ellis, Kansas until his retirement from Saindon Law Office in October of 2015. He was a member of the Kansas Bar Association, Ellis Knights of Columbus and St. Marys Catholic Church in Ellis. He was a past board member of the Ellis County Economic Development Corporation, Ellis Economic Development Corporation and the Hays are Childrens Center. Greg was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife Ann of Ellis; his children, Jeffrey Saindon of Hays, Amy Rohr and husband Brian of Ellis and Bryan Saindon and wife Emily of Wichita; his grandchildren, Eli J., Alex W and Carter J. Rohr all of Ellis and Ellenora M. Saindon of Wichita.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be 10 AM Saturday, January 16, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ellis with Inurnment to follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Ellis.

Visitation will be 6 PM - 8 PM Friday with a combined Knights of Columbus Rosary and parish vigil service at 7 PM all at St. Mary's Church.
