Gerad Madrid

Gerad F. Madrid, age 34, of Plainville, died Thursday, November 28, 2013 in Hays. He was born August 5, 1979 in Leadville, CO. to Geraldine (Martinez) and William Madrid.

He had worked as a handyman and carpenter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, sports and fitness, working on his car and he loved to be with his daughters.

Survivors include his mothers, Geraldine Madrid and Delores Mascarenas; two daughters, Giana and Diamond Madrid; three brothers, Raymond Mascarenas of Denver, Efren Mascarenas and wife Jennifer of Hays and Isdore Lucero of Leadville, CO and two sisters, Shantell Lucero of Albuquerque, NM and Frances Hamilton of Plainville and his ex wife, Anna Marie Lamana.

He was preceded in death by his father, a brother, Andrew Mascarenas and a sister, Angela Madrid.

Funeral services will be 10 AM Monday, December 2, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hays. Cremation will follow services with private family inurnment at a later date.

Visitation will be Sunday 6 PM 8 PM with a parish Vigil and rosary service at 7:30 PM all at Brocks Funeral Chapel 2509 Vine Hays, KS 67601.
