Frances Newell

Frances Newell, age 86, of Hays, passed away Friday, April 6, 2012 at Hays Medical Center. She was born July 1, 1925 in Hays, Kansas to Mike and Josepha (Wiesner) Goetz. She graduated from Girls Catholic High in Hays. She married Eloise J. "Frenchie" Newell on August 5, 1946 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hays.



She was a homemaker, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Altar Society, Christian Mothers and she loved to fish.



She is survived by her husband Eloise of the home, two daughters, Joan (Dick) Palmer of Haysville and Mary Alice "Myrn" of the home, four sisters, Marge White of Arvada, CO, Ann Doane of Sedona, AZ, Sr. Kathy Goetz of St. Catharine, KY, and Cecile (Paul) Jarrett of Jamestown, ND. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.



Her parents, a son, Arlen Newell and two brothers, Tom and Arthur Goetz preceded her in death.



Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays.



Visitation will be Monday 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. and Tuesday 12:00 P.M. - 12:30 P.M. all at Brock's North Hill Chapel 2509 Vine Hays, KS. 67601



A rosary service will be at 6:30 P.M. followed by a parish vigil service at 7:00 P.M. all at the funeral home.
